NG7O's Story
N7VHG
Dec 10 1991-Nov 12 1998
I was first licensed with a Technician class license in 1991. I was very active on FM repeaters, 2 meter SSB & packet radio. This picture is my first QSL card & was taken at Brundage Fire Lookout, where I used to work.

Nov 12 1998-Apr 11 2000
This was my first "vanity" call. I held it briefly from 1998 to 2000
WB7HAM
Apr 11 2000-July 8 2011
I held this call longer then any other. In 2011 I finally decided it was time to upgrade. I past my General and, a few weeks later, my Extra. Whew, no more Ham tests! So began a very fun & exciting period of time for me in HamRadio.

July 8 2011-Aug 6 2013
New extra class license, new extra class call. On July 10 2011 I made my first contact on HF. By Oct 11 2011 I realized I had become eligible for my first operating award, WAC (Worked All Continents). By Nov 7 2011 I only needed two states (NY & WV) to complete WAS (Worked All States). At 15 after 11 pm Nov 7 I worked Frank, KC2MBV in Port Jefferson Station New York. Only one to go! At 11:37 pm that same night I worked Alan, W8OP in Fairmont West Virginia. 50! I did it!
Now I was on a mission. I really wanted to complete DXCC before July 8 2012. I was wondering who would be #100? On March 30 2012 I heard Philippe, FO4BM, on the 10 meter band from French Polynesia. He had a huge pile up & I don't remember now how many calls it took, but, he eventually responded to my call! I quickly gave him a 59 signal report from Idaho. He responded with a 59 back & I had #100! I sent Philippe an email thanking him for giving me #100 & he responded that he wanted me to send my card directly to him, somethng he very rarely does, so he could send me his card with a special note about my attaining DXCC & him being #100. I received his QSL on May 5 2012 & I had 100 confirmed!

Aug 6 2013 - Feb 28 2014
I continue to get on the air daily & work some new & repeat states & countries. On Nov 1 2012 I received my CQDX award, which is similiar to DXCC. And on May 1 2013 I received WPX for working at least 300 different prefixes.
I decided to change my call again! I chose ND3O & on Aug 6 2013 it was offcially assigned as my new call.
